VIDEO: Celebrating First-Generation College Students

They’re the first in their families, but achieving a long-time dream. UNC Charlotte celebrated First-Generation College Students Day on Nov. 8, 2020 in recognition of so many valuable members of Niner Nation. The video below features Zack Bryant, an exercise science major, and Savannah Houser, who was just accepted into the School of Nursing. Their journey reflects that of many at UNC Charlotte. Our very own Dean, Dr. Catrine Tudor-Locke, is herself a first-generation college student.
